Legal compliance notice: These terms comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act), and other applicable South African legislation.

1. Parties and Agreement

Service Provider: Jibraeel Management Consulting CC ("HeyHalaal", "we", "us"), a South African close corporation.
User: Any person accessing or using heyhalaal.co.za ("the Platform").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service — Directory Only

HeyHalaal is a directory service only. It is not a halal certification body, auditor, inspector or validator. HeyHalaal does not certify, validate, endorse or guarantee the halal status of any business, product or service listed on the Platform.

HeyHalaal aggregates and presents information from recognised halal certification bodies and publicly available sources. The sole responsibility for halal certification lies with the relevant certification body. Any queries regarding the validity of a certification must be directed to the issuing certification body — not to HeyHalaal.

Listing a business on HeyHalaal does not constitute certification, endorsement, or approval of any kind by HeyHalaal or Jibraeel Management Consulting CC.

3. Intellectual Property & Copyright

The concept, name "HeyHalaal", brand identity, design, software, and all original content of this Platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Jibraeel Management Consulting CC. All rights reserved.

4. Halal Certification Standards

HeyHalaal only publishes listings for businesses certified by bodies that are:

Sponsored listings are clearly marked "Sponsored" or "Featured". HeyHalaal does not endorse advertiser claims. Advertising content must not be misleading in terms of the Consumer Protection Act and Advertising Regulatory Board (ARB) codes.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg, or the applicable Magistrate's Court.

Disputes may also be referred to the National Consumer Commission (NCC) under the Consumer Protection Act, or the Information Regulator under POPIA.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email (if you have an account) and by posting updated terms with a new effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
